what is an acc request?

An Architectural Control Committee (ACC) request is a highly suggested submittal by any homeowner to PMI Scioto Metro adding, altering, or making physical changes to the exterior of one's property. The Melrose Board of Trustees encourage policy suggestion with recognition to the "Total Environment" Concept while exercising the right to impose fines on homeowners who don’t maintain their property per the HOA’s standards as set forth in the governing documents (Deed Restrictions). ACC requests include but are not limited to:


  • Roof installation
  • Exterior house painting
  • In-ground pool installation
  • Deck\Pergola\Brick paver patio installation
  • Fence installation
  • Mailbox installation


If you are uncertain as to whether or not an ACC request should be submitted for any proposed changes to your property exterior, it is best to error on the side of caution & submit an ACC request to PMI Scioto Metro for Melrose HOA Board of Trustees review.  An ACC request submittal can be completed on the PMI Scioto Metro Homeowner Portal under the following:


  • Login to PMI Scioto Homeowner Portal 
  • Click on the HOMEOWNER tab
  • Click on MODIFICATIONS
  • ADD ACC REQUEST (here you will be able to choose the ACC type, provide details of request & attached any documents necessary)


If you have requested an ACC request and it has been denied, you have 30 days to request an appeal as to reasoning.  Appeal summons can be via email to PMI Scioto Metro OR the board can be requested to hear said appeal in person.
