Per the Melrose Bylaws Article V, Section 3, nomination rights are suspended for any owners that are in default of the payment of assessments.
Can't make the meeting? Have a question\comment & desire to remain unanimous? The annual meeting will not adjourn until all questions have been answered to the best of our ability! All Melrose Board of Directors (5) will be in attendance as will Stacey Menefee (PMI Scioto Metro representative for the Melrose HOA).

The Melrose HOA Handbook will go Live on July 23 at the annual meeting. This handbook will be Board of Director approved & go over the "Do's & Don'ts" of the Deed Restrictions & Covenants. If you have any questions\comments, please reach out to Jackson Brandel, Melrose HOA President.
As a homeowner in Melrose & Inverness at Melrose, you are automatically a member of the HOA. You have the right to request & review all public records. This includes but is not limited to:
If you believe that there is misappropriation of funds among the HOA you can request a 3rd party self audit. Per Ohio HOA rules there is no set petition process in place, however a signed petition of 10%-20% of the homeowners is requested (40-80 signatures).
If you believe that members of the board are not performing with due diligence & loyalty, you have the right to request the termination of a board member. Per the Melrose Bylaws ARTICLE 5, SECTION 2 (removal), termination of a board member may take place at any time so long as approved by 75% of the lot owners (300 signatures). This also applies to the annual meeting (with majority by proxy).
Also, per ARTCLE VI, SECTION 4 (resignation and removal), an officer of the board may be removed from office, with or without cause, by the majority board of directors vote (this would required majority of the board, or 3).
