REQUEST A MELROSE HOA SELF-AUDIT

As a homeowner in Melrose & Inverness at Melrose, you are automatically a member of the HOA.  You have the right to request & review all public records.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • Monthly financials
  • Bank Statements
  • Invoices
  • Tax statements (1120-H)

If you believe that there is misappropriation of funds among the HOA you can request a 3rd party self audit.  Per Ohio HOA rules there is no set petition process in place, however a signed petition of 10%-20% of the homeowners is requested (40-80 signatures).

If you believe that members of the board are not performing with due diligence & loyalty, you have the right to request the termination of a board member.  Per the Melrose Bylaws ARTICLE 5, SECTION 2 (removal), termination of a board member may take place at any time so long as approved by 75% of the lot owners (300 signatures).  This also applies to the annual meeting (with majority by proxy).
